Pulwell technology:

Advancement in process and composite materials technology is our ongoing goal.We continue to be innovative and invest heavily in technology research and development to ensure that our products maintain their reputation for excellence.

Pulwell's engineering design service can assist in all technical aspects of your requirement, analyzing the optimum profile shape and all other aspects to ensure that the design is technically correct for the application.

The Pultrusion Process

Pultrusion is a technique for the continuous manufacture of fiber reinforced composite profiles. By incorporating glass, carbon, aramid and other high performance fibers into a range of high performance resins, physical properties can be achieved to meet the needs of engineers in a wide variety of applications.

Reinforcement fibers are drawn into a resin impregnation zone and then pulled though a preformer into a heated die. Here the shape of the end product is determined by the configuration of the die and the resin is polymerized.

Pullwinding

Pullwinding is a method of producing high performance composite tubes combining the techniques of conventional pultrusion and continuous filament winding. Layers of axial fibers and helically wound fibers are combined to produce a product with an excellent crush strength, high stiffness and superb torsional properties.

Pullwound profiles are available in glass or carbon fiber in combination with polyester, vinylester, Modar®, or epoxy resin systems. The ratio of axial reinforcement to helical reinforcement can be varied to suit the specific requirements of the end use of the products.
